I don't recall ever giving it to him. It did surprise me the first time he emailed me, which was last month during that race that I didn't go to. Phone number--that was the contact info that I did give him when we first met. I think it's pretty standard to give people your phone number if you plan to keep in contact--which I did, at that time, because I thought we would be discussing running stuff.
