Early 30s guy here, and lately I've noticed a lot of women I end up on dates with simply don't play video games. At all. Generally I associate people not playing video games with them being terrible bores who don't really want much out of life (to take an entire medium of art, one as rich and vibrant as music or literature if not more so, and just write it off entirely is a fairly extreme act), so I treat it as a major deal-breaker, but I'm curious if there are others who disagree. I'd do the same if they issued a blanket statement like "I don't listen to music" or "I don't read fiction" too, obviously.
It seems you are the one who is closed minded , fun can only be video games. If it's working for you, go with it, but it seems it's not working for you as you are here asking the question and are 30s and single. When you date you can make as many rules as you want, but they may or may not get you what you want. As a women I'm okay with dating someone who doesn't share my hobbies or exact interests- I got over that being a sign of "true love" by the time I left high school. Focus more on values and what you want out of life. I doubt your values are video games.
