I normally fly business (often with free upgrades, points etc), while my wife flies coach with the kids. I will come back occasionally to chat, but I prefer it up towards the front, it is what I am used to.
I wanted to ask this too, but thought I might get flamed. My spouse doesn't care about sitting in coach, so is it rude to leave them there to save miles, upgrades, whatever?
If it's just you and your spouse traveling and your spouse doesn't mind, I don't see an issue with it. But if you're like pp who is traveling with the kids as well and seems perfectly content to leave his wife dealing with the kids on her own while he relaxes up front, that's a pretty shitty thing to do unless she's getting some other benefit to make up for it (like an extra spa visit or two while pp takes care of the kids).
