LOL.  This is true.

I wondered about it this morning because we were upgraded at the gate and there weren't two seats in first class together.  The gate agent kept apologizing and asked if we'd like our original coach seats back, and we were just like, "No, it's ok, we totally don't need to sit together."

Agree. DW here and I don't get upgrades too often anymore but when I do I'll leave anyone behind in coach. I prefer to sit next to DH on flights, but would never ask anyone to switch. I fly all the time for work so am used to sitting alone. Plus DH usually has the noise cancelling headphones on for most of the flight so it's not like we are chatting the whole time (I assume the headphones aren't on my account!).[/quote]
