If they're unwilling to make an effort to come visit as well, the "relationship" is already crappy. It's unfair to expect a family with young kids to continually shoulder the cost and burden of overseas trips. The idea to plan a vacation like some have suggested is great, but OP hasn't said where this other country is so it might not be practical, or financially feasible for them. [/quote]
