However, I have a budget for food as they are in my house all week (and of course I'll buy the food), plus we have Xmas gifts for our family and my husband's family - anyway, it gets to be very pricey.

When I gave her my budget, she volunteered [b]to pay for the protein [/b]for the meal.I told her pork loin from Costco was more than fine (and no one in the families are picky), but she's told me that she's place an order for the meat at the local Whole Foods, so I know it will be astronomically expensive. Do I let her pay? I'm not sure how to handle this.[/quote]
