I brought in bagels and muffins and orange juice and a jug of coffee as a "gift" one year and I had many teachers come up to me and tell me how much they appreciated it. I felt good knowing that I was thanking all of them for the work they were doing, as opposed to a select few.
yes, yes, yes, this! Go to Giant for bagels (it's less expensive to get the Pepperidge farm bagels of 6 in a bag than individually picking out bagels in the "fresh" section- and those are good bagels for those of us not from New York - we don't know from bagels! :) So, giant or safeway: (and no name brand of cream cheese is fine, does NOT have to be Philadelphia brand, trust me) 2 bags of bagels 2 or 3 containers of cream cheese -1 regular and then perhaps a flavor or two 1 container or normal cream cheese 1 large jug orange juice pretty napkins and a set of small pretty plates then the morning of, get 1 dozen donuts and a jug of coffee from Dunkin Donuts on your way - just don't do any ones with nuts - and you'll be great! Write up a thank you card and put it with the breakfast in the staff room or the kitchen area or wherever. They'll love it. Promise me - director of a center - we'd have parents who "sponsored" a breakfast like this (sometimes we'd have one a week if a few different parents wanted to do it), or a lunch like this (lunch is WAY more expensive, you don't want to get involved with that) every holiday season and teachers loved it. Universally.
