I start googling which is horrible.[/quote] Kids with speech problems often have poor eye contact. If processing speech is difficult, they will look away from faces to listen or to talk. It lightens the cognitive load. Instead of analysing faces and verbal speech, they just listen to the speech. It's a coping mechanism. It should improve on its own as your child's speech improves. If it doesn't, your child can be taught how to do it later. It shouldn't be a primary treatment goal at this point. [/quote]
