We are currently in trailers at Lafayette. It's a little bit of a hassle, but on the whole it's not that big a deal. The teachers and staff have worked really hard to make the new campus work and the kids have adapted well.
This is all true but there is a very real loss of things that starts to add up. No real common areas/community space Drop-off/Pick-Up area is just a mess of people trying to maneuver their way out through the hordes. Kids used to flow out of all areas of the school at the end of the day, now it's a central cattle call. The walkways require exceptional order and cooperation. Lafayette seems so much quieter than it used to, there is a loss of the bustling of an elementary school (but maybe that's an improvement?). Agree that everything is going as well as anyone could hope and the kids are handling it like champs but life will be inordinately better when the new school opens and the trailers are gone.
