Where are the best venues for local and underground bands?[/quote] Honestly, I live in Seattle now, so I'm not much help there. There's a pretty decent underground metal movement in Richmond! I realize I mentioned several west coast bands, and Yob is my favorite of the bunch atm, but also Samothrace is absolutely amazing. Weaving, psyche style guitar work, very emotional, growling, heartfelt vocals. In New York there's White Hills, a psyche metal band with an impressive output of albums over the years. [/quote]
