OP Here: The spirit of volunteering is great at the school, in class, chaperoning, etc.

Volunteering for the PTA is far less popular and it's not the hard line approach to things. I think it's the constant displays (like the taking students money) that the PTA are elitist and egoist rich moms out of touch with reality.[/quote]
