West Elm is the new Pottery Barn. Same company owns both so its a win/win for them.
Most of West Elm's merchandise is garbage, but cautiously. I too did not realize that PB was out of fashion at least 10 years ago. Guess I better rid my home of all those awful throw blankets! What is "in"? Are there any suitable box stores? Or should we only purchase high end designer items?
Room & Board, CB2, West Elm, Z Gallerie, DWR, Mitchell Gold. Crate and Barrel has always been fresher than PB so I'd put it on the list too.
Z Gallery is gaudy. Do you haveuch experience with M&G? Looking into buying new couches and I am leaning toward that company.
The gaudy look is one of the current design trends - the whole hollywood regency thing is big right now. Along with midcentury. Not for everyone, but Z gallery style is certainly trendy right now.
Oh and yes we have a M&G couch. It's very good quality and construction, though the back pillows fall down more than i'd like. I think M&G's annual sale is ongoing? I still think my favorite quality most comfy couch i've ever owned is from Arhaus.
