Our four-year-old fridge (a GE) is broken. It's a cheap fridge ($600), so probably not worth repairing. I am willing to spend more for something I like that won't break on me. Looking at the french door fridges, but am feeling overwhelmed by price and reviews -- it seems like even the well reviewed fridges aren't hassle free. Any advice?
What's wrong with it? I would fix it if I were you, you might be surprised by how cheap the fridge is. Or even if you spend $300 on a fix, you might get another 2-3 years out of it. Or maybe even 5 years. I have a washer that has been a pain in the ass. I've gotten it repaired 2-3 times in the last 6 years, with the repairs costing me anywhere from $79 to $300. It's annoying for sure, but the alternative is spending $1K on something that might also break after the warranty.
