My comments have all been, "We have the ability to better help those who need it but we are not utilizing the system to its full potential." Enough to garner a horrified reaction?

I don't think this is a racial issue at all. People of all backgrounds, races, ethnicity, religions, have times when they are in a situation where they need help. We all pay into the system, we should all be able to access the benefits. I don't even understand how this is a racist issue, unless your assumption is only minorities need assistance, which is pretty ignorant.

I think the issue here is and forgive me for making an assumption about you, is that you are sensitive to racism so you've already made up your mind about the situation, so you are going to project all over it and make assumptions that are not there. Hence making the statement " Which, I can tell you now- isn't gonna work with me."

You still have not answered my questions, why is it racist and what was ridiculous about wanting to better a system that fails far too many? I feel like it is because you can't. So as a PP said, you are pulling the privilege card to "win" the argument.[/quote]
