Actually I have.  It doesnt exactly seem smart to leave the multi ton object of rolling metal and gasoline (as you so melo-dramatically put it) to be in a road, out of your multi ton object of rolling metal and gasoline and surrounded by other multi ton objects of rolling metal and gasoline whizzing past you.

As for someone yelling at me?  Who gives a shit?  I'm not a child, why would I care?  The phrase, "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" comes to mind.
