Montessori is known for getting kids above grade level (as long as they display aptitude for it) because of the mixed-age setting. 4 year olds have access to the same reading-development and mathematical materials as the 5 and 6 year olds -- as well as a teacher who is capable of teaching early reading as well as typical 3 yr old curricula. I have heard of zero kids who did not transition to public K or 1 seamlessly.[/quote] Lol[/quote]
