Great advice, thanks![/quote] I'm an atheist also, though my kids are too young to have formed an opinion yet (though my preschooler recently declared that he believes in the Tooth Fairy, Santa, God and the Hulk).  Just tell them not to do it if they don't want to.  This is not a problem unless you make it one.

I also think it's silly to pledge to a flag of all things, but it is so, so unimportant.[/quote]
