One thing that irritated me with the second episode as compared to the original TWD - When Madison went back to the school it was empty, except.... but TWD repeatedly shows that when they go on food or supply runs schools/food pantries etc. are overrun with walkers, giving the impression that things went bad VERY FAST. Either the feds and then the states/municipalities realized there was a problem, like in FTWD and closed public spaces, or they didn't. Just a small continuity error that pulled me out of the action last night.
Not sure what you mean...just because a high school in Los Angeles is empty it doesn't mean a food pantry in rural Georgia would also be empty. It's not like things would have played out in the exact same way at the exact same time everywhere in America.
But the timeline is still in the same 24 hours as last episode, it is still the same day/ afternoon as when the school let out early. I found it laughable that the guidance counselor goes back to school and neatly parks her car in a parking space before going in instead of just parking it quickly right in front. And after all that killing the principal, it looks like they left all that food there. I like Tobias, I hope we see him again. He needs a bigger knife! And why is the barber shop guy so angry and rude? That whole nasty attitude from him and his daughter is strange. I wonder if they are hiding a walker in the back (someone they love but don't understand how sick they are). It's weird.
I have a feeling that the main family will seek out Tobias at some point...the guidance counselor dropped him at his house, so she knows where he lives now. Don't get me started on the scene in the high school, with the woman *who has encountered a zombie already and knows what to expect* walking up to the clearly undead principal and then getting attacked, like a moron. And then kind of slowly fumbling around for a weapon at the top of the staircase while Tobias almost gets eaten. And she calls her husband "babe" which is perhaps the most egregious character flaw of all.
