Me. I do. In fact, I made a pedophile joke to my 7th grader just this afternoon. I have friends who do, too. We generally keep it quiet, because we know there are people like you out there, who love to get all riled up about how children are so sacred you can't ever joke about them. We know you think we're sick, we know you love to tell us how our children should be taken away from us, how you'd never let your child over to our house, etc. We don't care. We found each other, and every once in a while, we make really disgusting jokes about kids.
No sacred cows at our house, either.
I would hope to see what would happen if your child is ever raped/molested. I wonder if they would even feel comfortable telling you.
I bet my kid is more likely to talk to me than yours will be to talk to you. Nothing is off limits for either talking or joking in our family. My kids know that I can talk about anything and not freak out. You, on the other hand, have created the kind of severely repressed environment that results in kids who are too scared to tell their parents when something happens. Kids like yours get a bad case of "I can't tell Mommy this bad thing happened because it's the worst thing that could have happened and what if she blames me?" Kids raised in that environment frequently don't tell, and if they do they develop secondary trauma (aka disclosure trauma) when they do tell. You just keep telling yourself that you are doing a good job, though. The most important thing is that you win the Mommy Wars and feel good about yourself. It doesn't matter if your parenting style has bad outcomes for your kids All that matters is you get your daily dose of feeling smug and superior.
Please. You've created an environment in which rape, a horrible, life altering tragedy, is seen as a joke. As something that other people derive amusement from. It's fucking sick.
