I don't think it was the hanging towel itself that was the problem; it was the water splash every time you swung over from the sink to dry your hands. The water would run down the front of the oven door and eventually the bottom of the door got all rusty! Regardless, DH (who is the chef in the house) has declared no towel on the oven door this time, so I'm looking around the room for other options. We also have a new wood floor, so minimizing water splash all over that every time we reach for the towel. I think it would be best to have it right near the sink somewhere. I never thought I would be putting so much thought into this issue.[/quote]
