My first is going to preschool. He's going to be in a 2's class and is not yet potty-trained. What do kids wear? My DS is usually in sweatpants and a long sleeve t-shirt in the fall/winter. Is that normal? Or are kids wearing jeans and a sweater? Yes, this is silly. But I don't want other moms talking behind my back. :)
Lots of kids do wear jeans with snaps when they're not potty-trained. As a former preschool teacher who changed a diaper or two, I think it's incredibly lazy for a preschool teacher to request no zippers or snaps. C'mon -- it takes an extra few seconds, if that. I did not see kids wearing sweatpants all the time, but generally some will wear sweatpants here and there. Younger preschool kids dressed by their moms might wear a sweater occasionally, but the older kids tend towards long-sleeve t-shirts. Most preschool rooms are too overheated for kids to be comfy in a sweater.
