You have to do that. And no, you can't kill the trees in the process, or he can sue you. I dealt with that for 15 years, and I spent 1-2k each year getting rid of the debris that fell on my yard. On the other hand, the neighbors were an older couple who kept a very low profile, which I appreciated. Look on the bright side - if one of your trees falls on your neighbor's property (through no fault on your part), then the part of the tree on his side is his responsibility. Does that make any sense? No, not really - but it is what it is.[/quote]
