Are you a patient of Dr Frankfurter by any chance? He's been moving almost exclusively to frozen transfers when the embryos look good. Fwiw, I did two cycles with GWU. My first cycle was a fresh transfer and failed. Second cycle, Dr F. suggested a freeze all and I'm now 10 weeks! So while that extra 6-8 weeks is a pain, I'd go with your Drs. recommendation because there is now data that the frozen is more succesful than a fresh....
This is interesting. My now almost 18 month DD is from a fresh cycle with Dr. F. I had 8 eggs retrieved, and we froze 4 embryos...two of which were high quality. I've been thinking about this because I'm now out of state and recently had them transferred to do a FET. It's interesting because I had actually considered transferring two, and he was concerned about my high e2 levels so we did SET. I wonder if now he would have had me freeze-all.
I have a 19mo DS, who was a product of Dr Frankfurters efforts. We did a fresh transfer, but had none left to freeze. Just went through another cycle with him and he told me that shortly after my first cycle (as in months later), new research came out that suggested that freezing may have better results. For this cycle, we played it by ear but by day 3 post retrieval, he decided to do a fresh transfer, which wasn't successful.
