I'm generally in favor of studying what really speaks to you.  The problem for young people today is that it feels as if they don't have the time to work a low-paid job as a sales clerk while they figure out what to do next.  I could get away with that in the 80s.

Fortunately my college student daughter has an idea of what she wants to do and she has been doing informational interviewing like crazy this year.  I think she'll be okay if she can get that entry-level job in the industry.  But it's tough for young people today! My heart goes out to them.[/quote]
