Take pictures first then do this ^.  You can also mix Murphy's Oil Soap (assuming the wood is stained) with water in the regular amount and use that to dampen a cloth and gently rub on the paint.  That should soften it enough to come off easily.  Do now while paint is fresh.

The painter (and drywaller) should come back and make everything right.  I've had painting done by professional painters and by our handyman.  The professional jobs, while much more costly, certainly looked professional.  There was only one thing I was unhappy with and it only happened one time.  They did a rough patch job in a small, but visible area.  I emailed a photo to the company and they immediately sent someone to fix it and you'd never know it was ever patched.  The handyman did better than I would have done on my own, but not as nice as the professionals, and he was worth it for the price.  [/quote]
