When you think about it, the top of the can has been sitting out being touched by whoever, so there is a certain logic to not wanting the dirty tab sticking down into their drink. I myself don't do that, but it makes more sense to me than other things people do like putting down paper on the toilet seat or practically bathing in hand sanitizer. [/quote]
