She's happy being the maid, he's happy that she's doing it...what's the problem again?[/quote] OP here, the issue is already resolved - but just to address this. He is appreciative in the abstract. If the topic comes up, he will say things like "Thanks for everything you do." It's not like he is wishing I did more, I guess that's what I mean by him being appreciative. But I really would like a bit more specific appreciation - words of affirmation are important to me. And I realize that he DOES give me specific appreciation for things he seems me doing - putting dinner on the table, when laundry gets done while he is home and I'm folding it. But there's so much I do that he doesn't see, I'm not sure he really fully appreciates that. I just want a little bit more awareness from him, even if his behavior doesn't change dramatically. We had a good talk though and all is well, so I certainly appreciated the help from this thread. [/quote]
