I see this everywhere now. I was at pick up the other day at my kids ES and a bunch of tweens were being "bad" on the property and the ES principal came out to scold them and they literally just mocked her to her face. She did nothing. It was pathetic. Another time, a tween walking his dog by me and my dog, his dog snarled and lunged and he could barely control it. I told him he needed to control his dog. When I turned away a girl in that group said something long the lines of "yeah and you need to chill." I spun around and said to her, "what did you just say?" she was shocked to be called out and immediately apologized. But in general no one stands up to these kids. Not CC country club, but in Bethesda.
according to some parents, the kids were just "expressing" themselves. This is why I would spank my 8 yr old for speaking to me or any adult disrespectfully. If a kid thinks he can speak to a parent this way, the kid will have no problems speaking to any adult this way, probably even a cop. Parents need to control this kind of thing early on.
