As an Asian, I have friends of different races.  But, I immigrated here as a 2 hr old, back in the 70's.  From what I have observed of Asians,  I think a lot of Asians stick to themselves because, in larger numbers, they are the newest immigrants in this country, and the culture is different than Western culture.  I think if you give it 50 yrs or so, you will things change.  The Asian people I know that are much more "westernized" have friends of different races. It's the 1st, and sometimes, 2nd generation Asian that mainly stick to themselves. But, I don't think this any different than when the Italians, Polish, Germans, etc.. first started to immigrate in larger numbers to the US.  People tend to stick to what they know, what they are comfortable with.  [/quote]

What kind of parents immigrate with a 2 hr old baby?  Was getting a head start on all the other children really THAT important?

Just can't wait to find something negative with Asians to pounce on? Asians are indeed targeted more than blacks "on here". Maybe it was meant to be "2 yr old".[/quote]
