Well, the people who don't like tattoos are a) telling other people they should stop getting tattoos on their own body, and b) judging people who get tattoos for being "trashy". WTH? I didn't know people could be 'trash'. Interesting attitude. The people who do like tattoos do not seem to be either c) telling everyone they must get one, or d) saying everyone without a tattoo is somehow inferior/worthless/messed up/bad. See the difference? I ask again, why do you care enough to do a and b above?
Well, the people who don't like tattoos are a) telling other people they should stop getting tattoos on their own body, and I have never once told a person that they should stop getting tattoos on their own body.
If you are the OP you most certainly have. Your thread is "when will this die?" meaning "when will this stop" meaning you are telling people they should stop getting tattoos. You want people to stop doing something to their own body because YOU don't like it. My point was, I think it's healthier and a more appropriate course of action to worry about things that involve your own body, let other people worry about theirs, and stop trying to assert some sort of right or even desire to make decisions for other people's bodies. That's odd and rather controlling of you. If you are not the OP, I apologize for misinterpreting who you were and thus misrepresenting your position. I'm done with this thread now; it's utterly ridiculous to spend so much time having a mean, judgmental attitude towards people for having tattoos or any other appearance-related choice. I won't spend my time legitimizing this anymore. I don't think anyone is trashy, ever, and I think most people's choices are personal and equally valid as long as they are neither harmful to others nor mean-spirited.
or republican or christian
How did the person say that? If you're saying avoiding tattoos is the Christian choice or the typical Republican preference...ok cool. Sounds to me like no one is going to care what someone doesn't put on their body...as long as they're leaving others alone about what they do put on theirs. Makes sense to me.
