Any current feedback on this school? We currently reside in the District and DC attends a dual-language elementary school that's zoned for a poor MS. We are considering moving and would like our child to attended SSIM.
My DS went to SSIMS (now at Northwood and enjoying it there), and he had a very good experience. He was not in the immersion program, but had friends who were. They were all high-achievers who were challenged by the curriculum, and they even went to Mexico or France in their 8th grade year. The teachers were as a whole were very caring and dedicated. We had one bad teacher, but he has already left. DS complained that it wasn't very fun, but I think he got a good education there. And the instrumental music program is fantastic!
