Can anyone comment on the non-spanish PK3 classes at Cleveland?
My DS is at Cleveland for PK3 Non-immersion and we love the school. He has a wonderful teacher and the mixed PK3/PK4 class has been a great learning environment for him. The PK3 program has just the right amount of academics and creative play. He is also in the before/after school program (I can drop off as early as 745 and pick up by 6:00 pm). The program is currently free, is run by the school and staffed by teacher's aides and they just started adding specials. In addition, breakfast is free and served in the classroom and lunch is free too. Coming from a very diverse preschool in NW DC (we are AA btw), I was initially concerned with the lack of diversity (i.e. few white, same sex parent families), but this is no longer a concern. The school has a solid program, decent test scores and is striving to improve. I predict that with the changing neighborhood there will be very few out of boundary spots within in the next few years.
