My son's composite score (not individual sub-score) is 131 for the CogAT, any know if this is qualified for getting in the GT pool? Please advise. This year's cut-off is 130
In past years, the screening pool was based on getting any one score above the cutoff, not the composite. So any score above the cutoff on any one subpart of the CoGAT or on the NNAT was the criteria for the screening pool. Last year, my DD did very well on the NNAT (150) but only OK on the CoGAT (123 composite, all subpart scores 122-124). She was in the screening pool but I was worried about her uneven scores, so I had private WISC testing done just in case, but she got in with no issues. I submitted a bunch of additional info: some certificates, some work samples and a letter of recommendation.
