What I and other PPs are doing is trying to help her figure out how to make the best use of the degree she's about to obtain, even if the obvious options (academia, research) don't interest her. There are ways to use a genetics PhD that don't involve those things, but you need to be both creative and deliberate in doing so. [/quote]
