I'm not exaggerating. I remember being paid $5 for the first hour & $3 each additional hour for being a mother's helper at that age. I usually only helped out for an hour or 2 so it wasn't like I was bringing home tons of cash.

Perhaps I was overpaid but paying someone, no matter what their age, $2/hour for their time in 2015 is just cheap!

FWIW,, I agree with the poster who said $10 for the first hour & $5 each additional hour. I wouldn't necessarily round up for the additional hours, though, if you were already giving her $10 for the first hour.
