I wouldn't suggest "forgetting" as a deterrent. I have parents who do this, and our principal requires us to still take them out. I have a little one and would be livid if it were my child, but as an employee I have to follow the rules. If you don't want your child to go out, you need to tell the teacher and the administration. Your principal requires that you take kids out without appropriate outdoor clothing?  that can't be correct.  I also agree that PP should let the teachers know rather than forgetting, but I think that any school that is taking kids outside in sub-zero temperature is going to make sure that those kids have coats, hats and gloves, and likely snowpants.[/quote]

For the record I am almost positive this teacher is not from Lee.  My kid was not let outside when it was super cold because he did not have snow pants.
