That in and of itself makes the relationship totally inappropriate, but there was a huge difference in power, maturity, and life experience. So yes, that makes him and asshole and yes, he took advantage of her. Does that make him a rapist? NO. I think the mother is completely crazy and the daughter has been so manipulated by so many people that she probably doesn't know what the truth is any more.
