There were about 80 kids taking the test for 4th grade and, after Beauvoir student acceptance, only 7 or so spots left open. That's a very low percentage if you're not coming from Beauvoir.
My recollection is C Form is 45 boys. Roughly 27-33 will be Beauvoir. Maybe 5 will be Siblings or Legacy which is a big thumb, but not determinative. So its more like 10 slots that are wide open. Some who took the test and are admitted will go to Sidwell and such, or not get the Aid package they hoped for and go elsewhere. Its a tough school to get into, but its not sub 10% either who have bright boys without connections to the school. I would say closer to a third to half who are qualified will get offers. Qualified meaning well rounded in academics, leaderships and reasonably athletic with top test scores.
Not being snarky -- they don't care about the athletic piece for the younger grades. Could help with high school admissions if someone is an affirmatively strong athlete, but they don't impose any sort of "reasonably athletic" requirement.
