You could have a bread basket on the table - bakery-fresh artisan bread with Kerrigold or similar high-quality butter (or a dish of dipping oil if you prefer).

Lastly, fresh flowers on the table are a nice touch, but make sure they don't obstruct the view across the table, you all want to be able to see each other.  If you have music on in the background, make sure it's not loud or intrusive.[/quote]
