According to my son, the new policy requires the doors to be shut the instant the bell rings and anyone not in their class is sent to some sort of detention. He says he got caught when he was one step away from the door. So, instead of being half a second late, he missed half of his class (on a day in which he had a test in the class). His mistake was stopping to go to the bathroom which he did because he didn't want to have to squirm all through his test.
