While we were dating DH started a habit of saying "good morning beautiful" every day to me, in person or text. It made him stand out among a crowd of intimacy-fearing DC losers as a caring person.  Sometimes when he wakes up in the middle of the night he says it in his sleep.   Just to make sure, he says.

What is your DH like the other times of the day?  And in general in your relationship?  What are the downsides ?  I hope you don't mind me asking.  I am trying to figure out what type of guy is best for me next time around, and this kindness sounds wonderful.  I am curious about the whole picture though.  Thanks.[/quote]

He is like that all the time. Very effusive and affectionate. Way more so than me, by temperament. The downsides are I cannot match him and sometimes feel guilty. He is intense where I am laid back. He would call and text me all the time at work etc, but I had to tell him to tone it down bc of the interruptions. But we are willing to work with each other. that is the main thing to look for: a man who can work through issues with you.

I married him, despite some serious flaws/red flags, because I knew he would be there for me and our kids. He made me happy and I love him more every day.  Right now he is at home, SAHD to our toddler. I wish he brought more money in bc the pressures of being breadwinner are no fun, but he is really doing right by her right now. [/quote]
