There is no shortage of good teachers in DC. No one knows exactly what happened, but principals can terminate teachers for insubordination. I am sure she will have dozens of candidates to fill in the vacancies.
In January? Under that principal? Sorry Ms. Blackmon. Give teachers more credit. Those teachers will not be easily replaced. Instead, you'll be using non-degreed subs. Good teachers in DC already have positions. Others walk as soon as they see the BS. One parent complained that 3 of her child's 5 teachers are subs. Not good! The "these teachers are replaceable. I'll just run through them" is an issue. That's why the parents and students are upset. It's not the fired teachers who are up in arms. And we do know what happened. The news story told us. There was no reason to fire 3 teachers who were just 1 week away from leaving. But if they had to be fired, the unprofessional way you went about it was wrong and shows a serious lack of professionalism and character.
