So that was YOUR experience, this was his.  It was one anecdote, I don't think he ever suggested it was proof of anything.  As a journalist I'd be more likely to believe his one example, than  your sweeping statement about all the A students you knew who bombed out smoking pot and snorting coke.

Maybe you should do research before you write something, or do you write for Rolling Stones where that is not required.

The #1 reason people drop out college is $$$$$. (Of course a W student has no idea about that.)
