So their advice is to act the way they want their friends to act and butt out.  That's often good advice, but not always the only or best advice.  I lost a friend by speaking up and I have kept friends because I spoke up. 
  
If you think you are risking the friendship and that matters, then don't do it.  But if you think the moment is right, then you should at least point her in the right direction. Sometimes people are so overwhelmed, they don't know where to start.  [/quote]
