Our church, IMO, was very welcoming at the packed Christmas Eve Mass.  Priest welcomed everyone, took a minute to have people greet those around them, during the prayers of the faithful added additional prayers for those there and hope that they'd return.

Same at our church. Of course it should be a wonderful way to welcome back those who may be considering more regular attendance, but it does irk me to hear people complaining about the crowds when they themselves are twice-a-year attendees.  Our parish already added two extra masses to accommodate attendees who are not usually there on weekends.  Come on a regular weekend and have a more relaxed experience. I promise we'll be just as welcoming - and you'll get a seat![/quote]
