The ice exhibit was terribly overpriced and really not that fun. Yes there were ice slides to play on for 10 minutes. But at $30 per kid or whatever, that's an expensive 10 minutes. Riding up and down on the glass elevator in the hotel proved much more fun for the kids, and free. We didn't see anything else free there. Even the tiny little train ride cost a few dollars.
Obviously you do not know how to look for deals!! I buy tickets for my daughter and my grandkids every year (we missed last year). I paid $51 for 3 tickets. They went Wednesday night, no wait time to get in. Hard to stay inside longer than 30 minutes but from past experience, and the fact the site tells you it will be 9 degrees inside, you know this ahead of time. Hard to believe those who complain how cold it is when it clearly states on the site that it is. Not sure what my daughter paid for parking. Not sure she paid anything. My grandson rode the train 3x (it really isnt that expensive for a quick thrill. yes the train could be bigger, but kids dont ask for much. Afterall it isnt the adult who is riding it for the thrill. Tickets were $2 a ride of 3 rides for $5. The kids enjoyed watching it snow inside and the water spout show. My grandson is 5, my granddaughter 15. My granddaughter thanked me for getting the tickets to go and said they had a lot of fun. It is funny because she was the one who asked to go back this year!!! Look for those deals when they come out and it wont hurt so bad. Granted if I paid $100 for 30 minutes, not sure how I would have felt about it, but the smiles on their faces, esp the 15yo, made it worth every penny I paid!!
