+1, especially to #4. 
I know somebody who plans to do this this summer.. She really misses her family and doesn't see them very often at all, not even yearly. The cost of the flight is astronomical, so when she visits, she likes to stay a while (as she won't be back any time soon). When I asked her if her mom would like to visit for a couple of weeks, she seemed to think visiting for just a couple of weeks would be very unusual. [/quote]
