I guess I'm a millenial though on the older side, 32. I am married with one kid, we own a home, and 2 cars. We have health insurance and a BJs membership. A lot of millenials won't marry until their 30s and most millenials are still in their 20s. Give them time. They'll marry and do everything on the list, I'm sure.
I'm 30, married, no kids yet, own a home, 2 cars, BJ's membership, cable TV, etc. etc. I hate these millennial articles. They really only apply to the immediately post-college to mid-20s set, from rather more affluent areas and cities. Not everyone under the age of 33 is living the "Girls" lifestyle. In smaller towns throughout the country a lot of people still get married at 23 and have 2 kids before they're 30.
+1 I just turned 30, am married (had a nice wedding too), and bought my first home (*gasp* in the suburbs)! I have a dog, cat, and baby on the way + have invested in stocks, we have 2 cars, and have a Costco membership. And as for domestic beer, well no one drinks that anymore. 3 or 4 years ago this list would have better applied to my circumstances, but that was more related to my age and stage in life. I do think younger millenials will come around to many of these things later, but after with one of the PPs that "stuff" like jet skis, pool equipment, large SFHs, luxury cars, etc. will be hurt in coming years. Personally, I'd rather spend my money on experiences like travel and eating out than on buying a bigger home or newer car -- so I guess that is somewhat "millenial" of me :)
