OK, if I remember correctly we had the actual conversation about that stuff starting around age 8 with that American Girl book the PPs have mentioned. Then, in 4th grade they got the "period talk" at school, so we just had an ongoing dialogue based on that and whatever questions they had. DD1 started her cycle in 6th grade, at 12, so I'm glad we had the full discussion well before that.[/quote]
