Just got weird robocall supposedly from Stephanie Lilley's husband stating that she was the only Republican on the School Board ballot. Is that really true? Already voted for Trina Braun.
Trish Braun is persona non grata in our neighborhood. As a member of the school boundary committee, Braun had no issue with telling other ward 3 families who expected to send their kids to Deal that Lesser performing Hardy was good enough for their kids. Of course Braun decided that Hardy wasn't good enough for her child and she had the ability to go private school over Hardy. Braun's campaign slogan should be "do as I say, not as I do."
You are doing misinformation, Mr Lilley or Wattenberg booster. SHE WAS NOT A BOUNDARY COMMITTEE MEMBER (see the list of members here: http://dme.dc.gov/book/student-assignment-and-school-boundaries-review-process/dc-advisory-committee-student ) . She was an active advocate for Ward 3 in the boundary process, against the proposed changes in the boundaries and feeding patterns of all Ward 3 schools. These included also the separation of the Palisades elementary school boundaries, and an initial proposal to have Hardy feeding into Cardozo instead of Wilson. She advocated and won on these latter two causes, but she could not do much on the Deal feeding patterns as the rights of Ward 4 - alias Bowser Protectorate were regarded as "sacred" by the DME and her team. I would have not sent my kid to Hardy 3 years ago (when Ms Braun opted for a private school for her eldest kid), when the school did not even had a stable Principal. But I sent there my 6th grader this year. Kudos to Tricia Braun's efforts and dedication. All of my Ward 3 block is voting for her.
